Overview
By popular demand, Sea to Sky Sailing is offering some short clinics to give students extra time to practice specific skills. These are non-certification workshops to help you develop your confidence and ability in some of the areas that can challenge even experienced sailors. In just a few hours, you have the opportunity to learn from our experienced instructors and improve key skills to make your overall sailing experience safer and more fun!
Prerequisites & Certification
Must have prior sailing experience including with the practical skills we are focusing on. These workshops are to compliment and enhance your existing knowledge, not replace more comprehensive training. Competent Crew or equivalent experience is a minimum requirement, Day Skipper is recommended. These are non-certification clinics, designed to increase confidence and skill in specific areas.
Clinic Details & Registration
Dare to Dock
Risk assessment and mitigation for different docking scenarios.
Practice coming in and out of berths on a long dock, and when possible, open and closed berths, in forward and reverse.
Practice springing off and on, in forward and reverse.
Discuss methods for alternative mooring options like stern tying or ‘Med mooring’ and rafting. Practice where possible.

5% GST and 6% booking fee is added at checkout.
Each clinic is one day, from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Day clinics are open to ages 16 and up.
Maximum of 4 spots available per course.
20% off for ages 16-25.
What to Bring?

Location
We start and finish each day in Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. The pickup location will be sent to students via email upon booking and confirmed 5 days before the course start date.
