The Yachtmaster Online Theory course is the third level of online RYA training available, covering the syllabus for Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore theory in a single course. This is advanced training for more experienced sailors, building on the Day Skipper practical and theory courses and equipping you to navigate safely on longer coastal and offshore passages by day and night. It will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.

We very strongly recommend this theory course to students taking our practical Yachtmaster course and intending to sit the Yachtmaster practical exam. It is not possible to cover the theory material in sufficient depth during the practical course to get all students to this level. Students without a really good grasp of this Yachtmaster theory material are unlikely to be successful in the practical exam.

As an agent for Navathome, Sea to Sky Sailing is able to connect students to their superb online training program. This training is delivered by Navathome, an RYA Recognised Training Centre specialising in online training. Instructors at Navathome are available 7 days a week to support students throughout the course, and help them progress through the course to achieve the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased certification.
