This iconic event is one of the longest running sailing regattas in Canada and the biggest! Last year’s event drew a fleet of almost 130 yachts, and we can’t wait to join them in August 2026.
With a mix of windward-leeward ‘round the cans’ and distance courses, Chester Race Week offers a great balance of tight maneuvering and longer tactical legs- perfect for showcasing crew skill development. Panacea X will have 2 days of training for crew to get up to speed before we launch into the 4 day event.
Nova Scotian hospitality is legendary, and Chester Yacht Club takes their shoreside atmosphere seriously. Food trucks, live music daily, and a horde of friendly sailors guarantees a good time before and after racing each day.
Panacea X has spent the last 4 years climbing up the leaderboard in every event in the Caribbean. This will be our first regatta in North America, and we’re looking to bring the heat! Our race skipper and first mate provide top-notch coaching to turn individual sailors into a tight knit crew. Not only does this make us competitive around the race track, but it also makes for an awesome team atmosphere on shore!

Prior racing experience is required, with a reasonable level of physical strength and fitness.

Cost
$2,350 CAD + HST (14%)
Maximum 10 crew + skipper + first mate
Cost includes professional skipper, first mate, lunch on board each day, racing fees, fuel, moorage, yacht insurance and all other operating costs of the yacht, and two team shirts (long-sleeve for sailing and short-sleeve for shore).
Participants are responsible for: food on shore and other discretionary spending, mandatory travel insurance, flights & on shore accommodation.
