After a few weeks of cruising in beautiful Cape Breton, it’s time for Panacea X to make her way back down the coast in time for Chester Race Week. This adventure cruise will take us from St.Peter’s in Cape Breton, to Halifax, with the same highlights as our June trip but in reverse!
A day or two of exploring Bras d’or Lakes, a UNESCO-protected biosphere, followed by canal practice to exit into the open North Atlantic.
Navigation practice in challenging tidal waters, and plenty of passage planning each day
Secluded anchorages in the best-kept-secret of the 100 Wild Islands, a remote and pristine wilderness along Nova Scotia’s eastern shore
Sailing into historic Halifax, with a huge variety of conditions along the way on a true sailing adventure
Enjoying lengedary east coast hospitality, fresh seafood ashore, and experiencing everything Canadian maritime culture has to offer
The Nova Scotian summer is beautiful, but famously changeable! Crew must come prepared for all conditions and a true adventure. Air temperatures can vary dramatically, there is likely to be some fog, and the water has not yet warmed up for the summer. Check our Atlantic FAQs for a sample packing list.
