Antigua Sailing Week

$3,350 | 6 Days | 6 Spots

Caribbean Racing Circuit

Antigua Sailing Week - with a twist! The name is the same as the iconic 50-year-old event, but the format underwent a major makeover in 2026 which proved hugely successful. We can’t wait to participate in the reimagined ASW in 2027: island rally style. The new format is a blend of fun and friendly racing with rally cruising, taking the fleet from point to point in a gorgeous 4 day tour of Antigua- complete with sunset beach prizegiving parties each night! Check out the recap video below for a taste of what this awesome new event holds in store for us…

Priority booking is given to our Steadfast Sailors (i.e. returning crew!). We will open for public booking on June 30, 2026 when a booking link will be added here. Until then, feel free to contact our office with questions or to register your interest.

Event Overview

Itinerary
Tuesday, April 20: Training Day, followed by Reggae In The Park (famous music fest!)
Wednesday, April 21: Move on board Panacea X. Skipper’s Briefing & welcome party

Thursday, April 22: Race Day 1 from English Harbour to Green Island. Anchor, swim, enjoy the sunset!

Friday, April 23: Race Day 2 from Green Island to Little Jumby Island. Anchor, swim, enjoy the sunset!

Saturday, April 24: Race Day 3: Little Jumby Island to Ffreys Beach. Guess what? Anchor, swim, enjoy, repeat!

Sunday, April 25: Final day of racing, from Ffreys to English Harbour. Full season-end prize giving ceremony & epic party in Nelson’s Dockyard. Move off Panacea X.

Since this is a pretty relaxed rally/race, we will get by with one day of training to get us up to speed, and use the Wednesday as general prep and an in-depth briefing on the race. ASW provides tons of on-shore entertainment and festivities every day for the whole crew to enjoy!

Then we’re off on a multi-day tour around Antigua. Starts are mid-morning and with a quick boat like Panacea, we can expect to usually be finished racing and enjoying a nice cool swim by mid-afternoon. We’ll be anchored out at different venues each day of the race, with organizers providing some dinghy shuttle service ashore to the daily prize giving and beach parties.

The atmosphere is fun, friendly, relaxed… and very cosy on board! Everyone will be sharing cabins (lee cloth in place for some privacy), be prepared to operate in close quarters with everyone pitching in for meal prep, keeping our habitat tidy, etc.

As with all Sea to Sky racing, we will be as competitive as we can be together as a team, but safety will of course always come first by a long shot, followed by providing a positive environment where everyone can enjoy the experience. Expect to be pushed to achieve your best, to expand your skill set and truly challenge yourself, with ongoing support from your skipper and first mate.

Typical Conditions

Antigua offers superb sailing conditions, with generally steady trade winds and beautiful Caribbean swells. With middle distance legs each day, the emphasis is on Type 1 Fun and enjoying the ride rather than the high intensity Type 2 fun/sport of the other events at this time of year!

Location & Logistics

Panacea X will be in Falmouth prior to the event, exact location TBD. Crew require their own accommodation on shore before moving aboard on Wednesday, April 21 and after moving off the boat on Sunday, April 25.
