Antigua Racing Cup

  • Antigua Yacht Club Falmouth Antigua (map)

The newest high performance event in the Caribbean race calendar is Antigua Racing Cup. Offering four days of highly competitive racing, the new Cup is a thrilling test of sailing skill and teamwork in a beautiful setting. Antigua Yacht Club is set to welcome a competitive fleet of some of the top boats on the Caribbean circuit- including us!

In between heart-pounding tacking duels and rocketship-esque spinnaker runs, crews can enjoy the hospitality of Antigua Yacht Club and the incredible atmosphere that always awaits sailors in Falmouth and English Harbour.

Sea to Sky is really proud to support the Youth 2 Keelboat program, organized by the Antigua Sailing Association to encourage Antiguan youth to continue on from their dinghy sailing experience and enter the world of yacht racing. In the last three years of regattas in Antigua, we’ve welcomed local youth sailors on board as integral members of our team and we look forward to doing so again in 2026.

Pre-Requisites

  • Prior substantial racing experience is required. Contact us to discuss eligibility and where you will fit into the team.

  • Reasonable level of physical strength and fitness. We strongly recommend preparing for the race by hitting the weights and/or resistance training for good core and upper body strength, as well as working on endurance through cardio training. This preparation helps protect you from injury, will give you more energy and strength throughout the race, makes you a more valuable team member and dramatically increases your likelihood of enjoying the race!

Logistical Note
Please note that we do not provide accommodation on board during regattas, but we do work to connect crew ahead of time so they have the option to share accommodation.

We will be based in Falmouth for this event, however we have not yet finalized our moorage so exact location is still TBD.

About life on board

As with all Sea to Sky racing, we will be as competitive as we can be together as a team, but safety will of course always come first by a long shot, followed by providing a positive learning environment where everyone can develop their skills and enjoy the experience. Expect to be pushed to achieve your best, to expand your skill set and truly challenge yourself, with ongoing support from our professional skipper.

We compete as a team and we prepare as a team, meaning everyone is expected to chip in with essential tasks before, during and after the race. This includes cooking, cleaning, provisioning, light maintenance tasks, rig and deck checks, etc. We also share sailing duties and do our best to rotate through positions on board when conditions allow for more experience building.
