Round The County (RTC) is the penultimate big event on the racing schedule each year in the Pacific Northwest.  This major event attracts boats from all over BC and Washington, bringing together a competitive fleet to race around the San Juan Islands in Washington State.  Big wind, strong tides, ensnaring kelp beds, beautiful scenery and a taste of longer distance sailing are all on offer in this fantastic and challenging event.

Boldly called by some 'the best race in America', check out this article on the 2017 edition for a peek at what to expect!

What to Bring & What to Expect?

Please check the required items listed for live aboard sailing on our FAQ page here.  This is a cold weather event, so good layering and proper sailing wet weather gear is essential.

While we aim to sail our very best on the race course, we offer a fun and supportive learning environment.  No enraged skipper shouting at the crew.  No grim silence as the crew plots a mutiny.  No fits of depression if we don't beat all the other boats.  The Sea to Sky race team is all about improving our own performance both individually and as a team, and doing our best to make every race a positive experience.
